Hauls: OMGcon 2023 - Now in 4K!

Time again for the customary haul clean-up post before my Birthday hits! Got a decent load of stuff this time around with some real showstoppers mixed in, so let's get to showing off!

Power Rangers Lightning Collection - SPD A-Squad Red Ranger (Best Buy)
Power Rangers Lightning Collection - Dino Fury Red Ranger (Best Buy)

Grabbed these two because they were on sale at Best Buy. I had always planned on picking up Zayto (as I really love Dino Fury,) but Charlie here was never really on my buy list, to tell you the truth. While SPD is one of my faves and I love evil Rangers, the A-Squad suits and characters never grabbed me enough to be like "I NEED this as an action figure!" or anything. However, the fact that she was down to SEVEN BUCKS definitely changed my mind on that matter. They had other A-Squad dudes on sale, but I just picked up Charlie since she's 1: the very first female Red Ranger in either PR OR Sentai, 2: the leader of the A-Squad team, and 3: really the only member of the A-Squad to have a decent amount of dialogue or actual character in the show. (Most of A-Squad was kinda just there. Don't even think the others were named in-show.) Together, I got both of these guys for less than the full price of a single LC figure. Not too shabby.

Mulan (4K Combo) (Disney Movie Insiders)

Time for another DMI haul! Was going to save my points to go towards Infinity War, but a 4K of the original Mulan being added to the catalog for less than 1000 points was too good to pass up. (Especially since the last time I owned the movie was on VHS.)

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania (Switch) (Amazon)

Time to add to the Switch collection with a couple of great deals! First off, I scored this bit of monkey business for only fifteen bucks on Amazon. I had never played a Super Monkey Ball game before, but this essentially being a "Best Of" collection of the earlier, most popular titles combined with the ABSURD amount of content (including Sonic and Tails making playable cameos) definitely caught my eye. Played it a couple hours. It's honestly pretty BRUTAL for a game fronted by smiling cartoon monkeys.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series (Switch) (PlayAsia)

ANOTHER great Switch deal! Similar to Monkey Ball, I have no real experience with Klonoa (aside from playing the free demo for this particular title and enjoying it), but the series in general is definitely a fan favorite and I'm always up for a new platformer, so this souped-up collection of the first two games was definitely on my radar. The only things that kept me back were the price (FORTY BUCKS) and the fact that it was digital-only in North America. Thankfully, a recent PlayAsia sale alleviated BOTH of those problems by offering the Japanese physical version for only TWENTY bucks. (Yep, HALF the price of the digital-only NA version.) Needless to say, I immediately jumped on it. Even came with a couple bonus stickers (including a random V-Tuber) and a DLC code for some alternate costumes! Looking forward to finally giving this series a proper shot!

Power Rangers Lightning Collection - Dino Thunder Black Ranger (Amazon)
Power Rangers Lightning Collection - Dino Thunder Mesogog (Amazon)

Back to more LC figures, THESE guys I pre-ordered the INSTANT they went up. Dino Thunder was essentially the show that reignited the spark in my personal PR fandom, so the prospect of FINALLY owning a GOOD action figure of Mesogog, one of my favorite PR villains, was an absolute dream come true. He doesn't disappoint, either. The sculpting and detail are SUPERB and I LOVE that his jaw is even articulated so you can pull off some of his more beastial expressions from the show. He's just a fantastic plastic representation of the character and I'm really glad that mine avoided a lot of Hasbro's recent QC pitfalls. Tommy is a bit of a different story...

Originally, I had planned to ONLY order Mesogog, but since Dino Thunder Black went up at the same time and happened to be my second favorite DT Ranger suit after the White Ranger, I figured "why not?" and threw him in as well. (Also just needed a good guy version of Tommy for my shelf, as I only had Drakkon and his Foot Soldier disguise from the TMNT crossover.) Figure turned out very solid (really love the painted detail on the Bracchio Staff), but the QC Gods definitely didn't treat him as well as Dr. Mercer's Dino-Hyde. Not only was one of his alternate hands missing, but his helmeted head was also oddly loose on him. Not to the point where it would swing around or not stay on or anything, but it doesn't really pop on satisfyingly and trying to move it around on him just makes it come off more easily than I'd like. It's only his helmeted head that's like this, too. His civilian head is super tight, so I'm not sure what went wrong here. Neither issue is a huge deal for me, as I throw a majority of the alternate pieces these figures come with in a bag to keep them in storage and I don't really pose them around a lot after finding a place and pose for them on the shelf, but it's still rather disappointing after Mesogog knocked it out of the park.

OMGcon 2023 Swag

Digimon Card Game Advanced Deck Set - Beelzemon
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
Pokémon Fit Krookodile Plush
Super Mario RPG Box Keychain

Summer came, and with it, OMGcon! Spent another fun weekend with my Sis watching shows (Digimon Adventure 2020 and Sonic Prime this year) and chillaxing. Also found a bunch of neat goodies, so let's get to 'em!

Was only really looking for ONE specific item going into this con, so was VERY glad to find it: the Digimon Card Game Beelzemon Advanced Deck Set! Tamers is my favorite Digimon show and Beelzemon is both my favorite character from it AND my favorite Digimon in general, so when I heard that he was getting his OWN theme deck in the card game, I HAD to have it! Not only does the set include a deck filled to the brim with Impmon and Beelzemon goodness, but it ALSO includes a couple unrelated bonus cards AND some WICKED Beelzemon card sleeves! Definitely a great purchase for a Tamers nerd like myself.

Also chanced upon an adorable Pokémon Center Krookodile Plush (from the Pokémon Fit/Sitting Cuties series), a Movie Sonic Hallmark Ornament that I had my eye on, and an awesome little keychain replica of the Super Mario RPG game box! Wanna know the best part about that last one?

The BACK of the box is fully detailed as well! SO COOL and another great way to show my love for my favorite game ever. Little did I know that this wouldn't be the BIGGEST Super Mario RPG-related surprise to come out of that particular month. I'm STILL trying to process that!

Ralph Breaks the Internet Tote Bag
Web-Warriors: Protectors of the Spider-Verse Volume 1: Electroverse (eBay)
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Omnibus Volume 5 (InstockTrades)

Rounding out the OMGcon stuff is this Ralph Breaks the Internet Tote Bag that I grabbed for five bucks. If there is a Wreck-It Ralph-related item, I MUST have it. It's also pretty big, so I might actually use it for future cons.

When I got back home, I had a couple comics that I ordered waiting on me. First off, a certain recent film made me want to read more Spider-Verse-related comics, so I picked up the first Volume of the out-of-print Web-Warriors series on eBay. As for the other, InstockTrades had the fifth IDW MLP ongoing Omnibus for a better price than literally any other site, so I finally jumped on it.

Banjo-Tooie (N64)

Another N64 fave that my Dad snagged for my collection! Now I own a physical version of every Banjo game minus Banjo-Pilot!

Illustrated Guide to the Spider-Verse

More Spider-Verse goodness! I learned of this book while browsing Amazon and thought it'd be cool to own, though I wasn't super sure when I'd get around to buying it. Well, while researching it, I happened upon a random giveaway for it and figured I'd give it a shot to try and win it. As you can probably guess by it being part of this haul, I actually won that giveaway. The book is written in-universe by Spider-Gwen/Spider Woman/Ghost-Spider and features new art and profiles on a TON of different Spiders from the comics. (From my favorites like Miguel O'Hara and Kaine Parker to deeper cuts like the Spider-Men from the manga and Mega Morphs toyline.) I can't wait to fully dive into it and it's freaking awesome to get to enjoy it free of charge. Thanks again to Real Mom of SFV for the opportunity.

Spider-Verse: Spider-Zero (Cheap Graphic Novels)
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Omnibus Volume 7 (Cheap Graphic Novels)
My Little Pony: The Movie Prequel (Cheap Graphic Novels)

More Ponies and more Spiders! Cheap Graphic Novels had the last of the MLP comics I needed to pick up for pretty cheap, so I put in an order. However, things didn't 100% go as planned. Originally, this order included the Volume 5 Omnibus, but I eventually got an email from them saying that they couldn't get it via their distributors. (These books were all "special order only" rather than in-stock.) So, I replaced Volume 5 with the Spider-Verse Spider-Zero mini-series since they had it for like ten bucks, and everything else went swimmingly. (Y'know, aside from having to wait several weeks for them to get all three books in. Kinda wish I had discovered InstockTrades earlier since they had all of this stuff immediately available for comparable prices, but it is what it is.) Now I just need to wait for that eighth and final MLP Omnibus to come out.

Web-Warriors: Protectors of the Spider-Verse Volume 2: Spiders Vs. (ebay)

More Web-Warriors! I had originally ordered Volume 2 alongside Volume 1 on eBay (from two different sellers), but as the days went by, my order was showing absolutely no movement even after Volume 1 had already arrived. Starting to get impatient, I messaged the seller. No reply even after several days. Since it was too late to cancel my order, I had eBay step in and get me a refund. Then, I ordered Volume 2 from a different seller and it shipped IMMEDIATELY. Cost a little bit more than from the other seller, but it GOT here and that's what matters. Now I can enjoy the full Web-Warriors saga and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for Volume 2 like on Amazon. I'd call that an (eventual) success.

Playstation 5
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Launch Edition

Finally entered the Next Gen! (Or is it the Current Gen?) Yep, since a certain arachnid-centric game is releasing this Fall, I figured it was finally time to upgrade to the PS5. Already got it all set up with my PS4 save data and digital games and everything! Looking forward to playing through Rift Apart and seeing just how much of a technology leap Ratchet and crew have made since the 2016 remake.

Power Rangers Lightning Collection - Dino Charge Pink Ranger

Finally, we end things where we began: with the Power Rangers Lightning Collection. After the QC disappointments with my Dino Thunder Black, I messaged Hasbro about potentially getting a replacement helmet and the hand that my figure was missing. Unfortunately, DT Black wasn't available in their replacements warehouse, but they DID say that they would send me a different figure free of charge. That figure arrived and it was Shelby, the Dino Charge Pink Ranger. While it doesn't exactly solve the issues with my Tommy, I'm definitely not complaining about having another Ranger to add to my shelf as well as another girl. It's especially neat since the only other Dino Charge figure I own is Tyler, who Shelby shares an honor with, being that they were the first two characters to morph on-screen in Dino Charge. As far as compensation goes, not too shabby.

That's all for this one! See you guys again for the big Birthday post in August!

Hauls: OMGcon 2022 and Other Bits

Well, my Birthday is next week, so it's time for another one of those tried-and-true haul roundup posts!

Power Rangers Super Legends (DS) (Amazon)

THIS was the definition of an impulse purchase. Super Legends was a game made for Power Rangers' 15th Anniversary in 2007 and it was released for PS2 and DS. I only had the PS2 version before because it had voice-acting and comic-style cutscenes, but I always regretted not getting both, as the DS version had its own roster of Rangers (including reps from Time Force, a season NOT featured in its PS2 equivalent) and some neat unlockables. (The best of which being the ability to play as Boom the Orange SPD Ranger if you perfect every stage.) Anyway, I saw that someone on RangerBoard had picked it up recently and that made me curious if I could pick it up cheap used on Amazon. Sure enough, I found the right seller and here we have it. I spent the latter half of May completing it. Was fun, though things got a bit stressful trying to beat every stage without dying. (Stingwingers were the bane of my existence.)

Funko POP! Animation SpongeBob SquarePants (Holiday)
Funko POP! Animation Patrick Star (Holiday)
SpongeBob Hula Bobble Figures
Invincible Mario and Red Shell McDonald's Toys

Here's a bunch of stuff my parents grabbed me at a yard sale. Been a while since I've collected any POP figures, but they definitely made a wise call getting this particular set, as SpongeBob, Christmas and Christmas-themed SpongeBob stuff are three of my favorite things.

OMGcon 2022 Swag

Beast Wars II Mini-Figures (Tasmania Kid and Bighorn)
Jakks Pacific Sonic the Hedgehog (Modern) Figure
Funko POP! Movies Tokka
Ash-Greninja Shirt

Retro Digimon Magazines
Kululu, Totodile and Fuecoco Mini-Buttons (Fil Romero)
Digimon Card Game Starter Deck: Ultimate Ancient Dragon

OMGcon returned after a pandemic-related delay and my Sister and I enjoyed our usual fun weekend of buying stuff and watching anime in the comfort of our hotel room. (Despite a hiccup near the end. Never have Mexican take-out the night before you have to travel for like an hour. Nuff said.) I didn't find anything quite as cool as the Nintendo Power issues I got at the last one, but I still wound up with some rad stuff in the end.

Best finds were definitely the little Beast Wars II guys (though I wish the seller I purchased them from had a better selection, as it's odd having two different Tasmania Kids,) the really neat mini-buttons (FINALLY SOMETHING KULULU-RELATED) and, of course, the old Digimon magazines, especially the two issues of Beckett Digimon Collector. I found them at the same seller I got the NPs from before and I was particularly happy to see the one with the Digimon the Movie cover story, as I remember having that one back in the day. Flipping through them brought back some great memories and reminded me of certain old Digimon happenings that I had COMPLETELY forgotten about, like the Taco Bell promotion. That Movie issue should sit comfortably on my shelf next to my issue of Beckett YU-GI-OH! Collector that covered THEIR movie. (The one with the incredibly silly hypothetical live-action Yu-Gi-Oh! movie cast. Adam Sandler as Tristan Taylor, anyone?)

Was also able to pick up a couple of things I've had my eye on for a bit, like more Digimon cards to finally support my small collection of mostly identical promo cards and Tokka's POP figure. (CRAZY that out of ALL the possible TMNT POP figures that could've been at this thing, one of the only TWO that I REALLY wanted was the one that I found. Talk about a lucky break.) Also added a base Modern Sonic to my growing Jakks Pacific figure collection, but honestly, I overpaid for it. He was the one from the OMEGA WAVE, too! Omega I would've GLADLY paid twenty bucks for, but nope. All they had were Sonics. Feh. Rounding things out are a pretty sweet Greninja shirt. However, we're not quite done with OMGcon yet. As this was a con and cons typically have guests...

...I got to meet Xander Mobus again! (After previously getting him to sign my Smash Wii U copy and Smash 4 Soundtrack at the 2015 convention.) This time, I had a lot more game fodder for him as I've recently become a Persona 5 fan (brought Strikers rather than Royal because the other two games were on Switch as of this particular weekend) AND he happened to voice a character in NEO TWEWY. Ultimate completed the trio nicely. (Though, I'm a bit surprised he signed it for JUST the Announcer role and not also Joker. Eh, probably didn't want to cover the art in text.) Still a great guy.

Power Rangers X Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lightning Collection - Morphed Shredder (Dorkside Toys)

Oh YESSSSS. Remember when I hinted that someone was missing from my PR/TMNT figure blow-out in the last post? Well, he's finally here. GREEN. RANGER. SHREDDER. Took a while for Dorkside to get him in (he's the ONE pre-order I kept there,) but after many delays, June turned out to be his month. (He also just so happened to ship on the day that I left for OMGcon, so that got me even MORE jazzed for the weekend ahead.) He's an absolutely WICKED figure as well. Probably one of the best Shredders I own. I especially love how the cloth cape drapes on him. Gives him a really badass look. With the crossover crew finally complete, there's nothing more to do than wait for the recently-announced SEQUEL mini-series and see what craziness pops out of THAT.

Kuribabylon (Troll and Toad)
Kuribah (Troll and Toad)
Kuriboo (Troll and Toad)
Kuribee (Troll and Toad)
Kuribeh (Troll and Toad)
Five-Star Twilight (Troll and Toad)
HerculesKabuterimon (Troll and Toad)

Ending things off with a card haul! As a huge fan of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, I always get super excited when they bring more of Yugi's anime-exclusive cards to the game itself. I was particularly amped-up about THESE as he HEAVILY used the Kuriboh Brothers and Kuribabylon in Season 4, which I have a huge soft spot for despite its fillery nature. Also grabbed a HerculesKabuterimon promo card both because I just love that Digimon and because I believe that it's actually compatible with the Starter Deck I picked up earlier. As a great bonus, I got a $5 Amazon Card for making this purchase with Amazon Pay, allowing me to add to my IDW TMNT collection with the digital version of the 30th Anniversary Special. (Which was NEVER available in trade form, yet featured brand new stories from the Mirage, Archie, Image, and IDW continuities.) Not too shabby for under four bucks.

That'll wrap things up! See ya next week for the big Birthday post!

Hauls, OMGcon Fallout, and My Major Award Volume 2019

Been a while, hasn't it? Well, I did say that the next post would probably not be until after OMGcon and I stuck to that! (Y'know, despite the fact that I had acquired quite a few things between the previous post and the con that I could've easily turned into more posts, but hey, blog's called The LAZY Shell, what do you expect?)

Anyhoo, let's get down to business. These hauls comprise late April through June and I'll be grouping some related stuff together despite obtaining them in different months, so please excuse the not-exactly chronological order.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Duel Power Box (Walmart)

Starting things off with something I bought quickly after finishing the previous post, I picked up the newest "Legendary Collection-esque" Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG collection because those free cards my brother-in-law gifted me last time lit a bit of a fire in the card game part of my brain. A very brief fire, since that want kinda petered back to normal a little after the purchase, but a fire nonetheless. Got some pretty good pulls, too, with the highlights being Card of Demise and Infinite Impermanence.

Ken amiibo (Best Buy)
Daisy amiibo (Gamestop)

More amiibo! Ken adds to my third-party lineup while Daisy completes the Smash Mario roster. (For now, anyway. The final Fighters Pass DLC could be Friendly Floyd for all we know.)

Power Rangers Lightning Collection SPD Shadow Ranger (Amazon)

Definitely had to pre-order THIS guy as soon as he went up, as Doggie is one of my personal favorite Rangers and this figure is siiiiiiiick. Hasbro have done a bang-up job on the Lightning Collection so far and this most likely won't be my last purchase from it. (Especially if what I've been hearing about Magna Defender being a part of Wave 2 is true.)

TMNT 2012 Shellraiser (Goodwill)

Time for something a bit more random! My Mom actually found this at a Goodwill while she was out thrifting and asked if I'd be interested in it. It's missing a few pieces, but I own quite a few 2012 Turtles figures, so I figured adding this to that collection would be a no-brainer. Also can't beat a two-dollar price tag.

Team Sonic Racing (Switch) (Amazon)

This was actually originally a part of my Christmas list last year, but then they delayed it to the next May after it was already pre-ordered and here it is at last. Very fun game that provides more Sumo arcade racing goodness. When this was first announced, I admit that I was a little unsure of the team racing aspect of it and hoped for a traditional racing mode, but honestly, even though there IS one in the game, I NEVER use it because the team mechanics are just so much fun. It really reinvents the literal-and-hypothetical wheel of racing games and actually succeeds with making something super fun and unique among mascot racers. There's a lesson here: Never doubt Sumo Digital when it comes to racing games.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Blu-ray Combo) (Best Buy)

This was actually one of this year's Birthday presents that I managed to get early because reasons. It also came like three days before the official release date, so there's a tip: always pre-order your DC animated films from Best Buy. Very fun little movie that adapts the comic while at the same time not making it obsolete by being an exact adaptation. It's also an animated crossover between Batman and the TMNT, so you kinda can't not buy it. (Unless you're a super purist or THAT indifferent to both parties, of course.)

OMGcon Swag
$20 Nintendo eShop Card (Target)
Ralph Breaks the Internet Domez Blind Bag Figure - 8-Bit Felix (Target)

KNEX Super Mario Series 10 Blind Bag Figure (Luigi with Poltergust 5000)
Nintendo Power Volume 6
Nintendo Power Volume 36

KNEX Super Mario Series 9 Blind Bag Figure (Maker/Builder Mario)

Time for the OMGcon stuff! My Sister and I started off our weekend with our traditional Target run to get snacks for our trip. As is usually the case, I found a couple things while we were there.

Seeing a Target toy shopping vlog on YouTube a couple months ago with clearanced Ralph Breaks the Internet stuff in it made my mouth water, so one of my goals was to hopefully find some on this run. No dice, unfortunately, but I DID manage to find a SINGLE Domez blind bag mixed in with all the other similar stuff. Buying it and cracking it open netted me the figure I most wanted of all the ones I didn't already have (8-Bit Felix), so I guess it was fate. Also picked up a $20 eShop card because Duck Game recently released for Switch and I wanted in on that silly party action. (Though, ironically, I've been most addicted to the single-player mode. Spent 10 hours on it!)

Then came the actual con and I also had a particular purchasing goal in mind for it: the Builder Mario and Poltergust Luigi KNEX Mario blind bag figures, mostly because Mario Maker 2 and Luigi's Mansion 3 are on the way and it seemed too perfect a chance to pass up. Took a try or two, but I managed to accomplish said goal and netted both figures from the same dealer that I bought the Bowser Jr. from last year. Luigi's Mansion merch always makes me happy.

Last but certainly not least on my list of purchases is my coolest find: vintage Nintendo Power issues! I NEVER find these in the wild and in such good condition, so to find an entire STAND of them going for five and ten dollars a piece was a dream I simply couldn't pass up. In terms of which issues I picked, I mostly purchased based on the covers since I didn't exactly have a photographic memory of what each issue covered. I think I did pretty well, with the original TMNT NES issue being a highlight. (I NEVER thought I would EVER own one of the first ten issues, let alone the one with the Turtles on it!) The other I got just based on DW being on the cover, but going by its entry on a wiki, it was definitely the weaker of the two. Kinda wish I had went for that Mario Paint issue instead because it covered Turtles in Time, but eh, at least 36 has a cool cover.

To finish off the OMGcon section, another voice actor was a guest this year and very relevant to my interests: Michael Sinterniklaas! (Voice of Mahad/Dark Magician in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Seviper and some bit players in the 4Kids dub of Pokemon, and Leonardo in the 2003 TMNT series!) Naturally, I asked him to sign some things:

Extremely cool guy. Despite the fact that he was a little late to his signing, he chatted it up with everyone who came to see him and shared some fun anecdotes about Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and TMNT with me and Sis. (He was also rather surprised when I brought up his reprisal of Leonardo from a sketch on the CN MAD cartoon.)

To wrap things up, let's talk about an insane bit of luck I've been having with Twitter giveaways in the past month. Y'see, ever since 2010, I've tried and succeeded with winning something from an online giveaway at least once every single year. (How do I do it? Well, it's simple: I just enter every giveaway that has something relevant to my interests up for grabs but requires little to no effort in entering. If you enter EVERYTHING, you've got to win SOMETHING, right?) However, I rarely, if ever win Twitter giveaways due to the usually-high volume of people retweeting to enter. This year changed that when I won THREE different Twitter giveaways within the span of a month. Here's my winnings:

Power Rangers Lightning Collection Dino Charge Red Ranger

First off is another Lightning Collection figure that I won from the lovely folks over at Ranger Command Power Hour. (Check them out!) This allowed me to add a more recent Ranger to my Hasbro shelf and the future Beast Morphers Red in Wave 2 will compliment him nicely what with the recent team-up pics that leaked.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink

Next up is another PR prize with the MMPR Pink Boom mini-series trade courtesy of razzle1337 on Twitter. (Follow him if you're a PR fan. He shares tons of Ranger news and pics and constantly has giveaways. He also packages prizes extremely well.) This was a great thing to win mostly because I could never find an opportunity to fit this into my PR comic purchases because of its weird position as a mini. In my opinion, it's just okay (would've better served as a graphic novel rather than being stretched out to a mini), but it's nice to finally own it.

The Art of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Finally is probably the coolest thing I won: the Art of TMNT book from Dark Horse Comics! Ever since this was first announced, I've been interested. The 2012 TMNT had so many unique characters and visuals that an art book was a foregone conclusion and to have Ciro Nieli writing it to give background on each and every aspect of the series is a great bonus. Haven't read it yet, but I've already gleaned some pretty interesting trivia bits. (For instance, did you know that Spike was originally going to be Klunk, Mikey's kitty from other incarnations, but changed because they thought it would just be funnier for a mutant turtle to have a pet turtle? Or that his mutated form as Slash was based on Godzilla and a Koopa, giving him a canonical connection to Bowser and making my brain rocket out of my head in delight? Yeah, it's good stuff.)

That's all she wrote for this post, but I'm expecting a couple of things in the mail next month, so I might make a smaller post before my 28th Birthday the next. Until then!

June Hauls

Got a bit behind on posting the stuff I picked up in both late May and June in general (in addition to just neglecting the blog as a whole), so let's play catch up! Starting off, a lucky amiibo restock at Amazon landed THIS pump in my hands at last:

                          Bowser (Wedding) amiibo

Might come in handy should I ever get around to rounding up the rest of the Kingdom Coins in Odyssey!

Early June, I ventured with my sister to our annual nerd out weekend at OMGcon. I picked up quite a lot along the way:

    OMGcon Swag
Marvel Legends Deadpool (Back in Black)

Super Mario Series 9 Blindbag Figure (Mario)
Digimon Tentomon w/ Izzy's Laptop Keychain

Super Mario Series 9 Blindbag Figure (Bowser Jr.)

Funny story about Mario and Jr.: I originally tried for the latter with a random blindbag purchase by just feeling around for spikes. Turns out, my feeling skills
are very much lacking, resulting in my like fifth Mario figure from this series. Afterwards, I found the codes for each figure online and my Sis and I searched the entire box for Bowser Jr. However, we still didn't find him. It turns out that I had misread the method by which you use the codes to determine the figure inside each bag and I didn't realize this until we were back in the hotel room. I actually went RIGHT BACK DOWN to the dealer's hall to claim my Bowz Child. This is the the life of a Bowser fan and Bowser Jr. main in Smash.

Anyway, I also got some stuff signed, courtesy of Bill Rogers! (Who you might know as the voice of Brock in the Pokemon anime from 2006 onward, the voice of Lucario in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and voice of the King of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild! Great guy! Even commented on the Pokemon shirt I was wearing!

That does it for OMGcon, but we're not quite done yet. Finishing things off, I also went to stay with my sister and her husband for a week and did a bit of shopping while there. My first stop was ToysRUs, but it was unfortunately but unsurprisingly picked clean of anything of value. I had better luck at Target, where I purchased two films I've been meaning to pick up on Blu-ray for a while:

The Lion King (Walt Disney Signature Collection)
My Little Pony: The Movie

One last thing: At the end of June, I picked this guy up on a grocery run at Walmart:

Funko Kingdom Hearts Mystery Mini Blindbox (Axel)

That wraps things up! July should be an all-around slower month in terms of me buying crap I don't need, but my Birthday is in August, so look forward to seeing some neat stuff next month. I also plan to publish my first game reviews on the blog soon, so look forward to that as well!
